A family farm built for fall memories
Hog Wild at Howard Farms is a third-generation family farm in Jacksonville, North Carolina. During the fall season, the farm opens for pumpkin patch visits, corn maze adventures, hayrides, children’s activities, food, group outings, and school field trips.
Guests visit for the simple things that make fall special: walking the maze, choosing a pumpkin, riding through the farm, watching kids play, taking photos, and enjoying a relaxed day outside.
Onslow County’s corn maze
The 2024 maze experience featured two corn mazes across 5.7 acres with approximately 2.8 miles of trails. Families could explore the main maze, enjoy the kiddie maze, and take part in seasonal maze games.

Pumpkins, hayrides, and outdoor play
A fall visit usually centers around the pumpkin patch and hayride, then continues through play areas, slides, swings, farm games, vendor food, and photo spots around the farm.
It is built for families who want more than a quick stop. Guests can spend the day moving naturally between activities without the place feeling like a rushed event.

Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Weekdays: reserved for field trips and group visits by appointment.

Discounts
Senior citizen discount is half price of ticket choice. Children ages 2 and under are free.
School field trips and group visits
Field trips are available for Pre-K through 5th Grade. Students can learn about agriculture while enjoying corn maze activities, the Fairy Tale Trail, Spookley the Square Pumpkin, barrel train rides, tube slides, jump pad, corn barn, playgrounds, and farm areas.

Group Planning
Weekdays are commonly used for scheduled school groups and larger visits. Booking ahead is recommended because field trip dates can fill quickly during fall season.

Hog Wild has featured Spookley the Square Pumpkin as part of its children’s fall programming. The activity brings an anti-bullying message into a simple farm experience through story-based learning, kindness, and acceptance.
